The food stamp entitlement program has been helping low funded households for many years, but now there has been an increasing number of people who are on food stamps, 45.34 million people in 2011 are on food stamps. (Dailyjobsupdate). And with the government trying to make budget cuts many tax payers are wondering why the food stamp entitlement program is not being cut. Many are saying that food stamps are stimulating the economy such as Obama's secretary of agriculture, Tom Vilsack.
